Lord, I believe...

This Lent I am praying the Litany of Belief (based on Mark Chapter 9) with Hallow's Lent Pray 40 Challenge: The Way. It has been beautiful to journey through the stories as we also journey ever closer to Jerusalem for Our Lord's Passion and Death. This prayer resonates with me deeply as someone continually growing in their faith and trust in Jesus in the midst of the chaos of normal human life. Maybe this is something you need, too. I pray you have a blessed and holy Lent as you prepare your heart for Him.

"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me." ~Psalm 51:10

Litany of Belief

Lord, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

When I have questions or doubts...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I am afraid or anxious or worried...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I lack courage or strength...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I fail to trust in Your plan for me...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When my faith is shaken or unsteady...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I am lukewarm or stuck in the motions...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I struggle to have hope in Your mercy...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I fail to believe in Your love...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I am hesitant to go where You lead...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

When I hold back from giving You my life...Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.
