Become an Ingredient Detective
Didja know I can help you read your product labels? Do you understand the real difference between safe ingredients and green marketing???
In this day and age of green-washing, it is so important to understand if what you are using is actually safe. Don't fall victim to marketing claims on the front - flip that bottle over, baby, and get to know your backside! Ingredient lists don't lie, and good ingredients matter. Even the apps and rating websites are not entirely accurate, they accept funding from companies who sponsor them. I have watched their ratings change over the last 7 years, so you can not just trust the "grade" given. Money is a powerful motivator. Use sites like EWG to look up ratings for individual ingredients ONLY for accuracy.
It can all be so confusing and overwhelming. How can you even be sure you know what to avoid??? We shouldn't need to be biochemists to read a label! When industry buzzwords are thrown around and heavily advertised, it may seem like you're making a great choice. However, marketing terms like natural, organic, nontoxic, no b/s, pure, and eco-friendly can be good (but also intentionally misleading). Those words do NOT equal 100% toxin-free. I know of one company that boldly makes that claim. Safer doesn't mean safest.
Why compromise?
Can I help you investigate your products or switch to the safest???
You shouldn't (and don't) need a chemistry degree, you just need a place to start. I can help!
