So, this happened today.

Remember that post I shared about doing just one thing every day??? Well, apparently God and the Navy laughed at that. When I heard it may be a possibility Eric could come home, I did ALL those things this weekend so the house would be welcoming for him. The whole 7 month deployment and the roller coaster journey home, with all the work I did over the last several days, has left me exhausted and overwhelmed.

BUT my heart is FULL. We will reacclimate and adjust to one another and family life, just for him to leave again in 5 days for a five week school. Such is the life of a military family.

We surprised the kids and it was awesome! I plan to soak up every second I can this week, play with plants, relax, and putz around the house in my pajamas. I deserve it after all that hard work.
